The African Student Scholarship is available to international students who wish to continue their studies in a graduate program in all fields at Brandon University, Canada.

Scholarship Benefits:

Brandon University will pay students $891.01 to contribute to their study expenses in Canada.

Eligibility Requirements:

This scholarship will be allocated according to the academic achievement of an international student from a country in Africa, and priority will be given to the candidate who will be pursuing a graduate program in any faculty at Brandon University.

Application process:

In order to register for admission to the programme, candidates must be accepted into a graduate program at the university.

Supporting documents:

Official records or documents specified by the delivering institute or by the examining authority must be submitted.

Admission Requirements:

Applicants are required to have completed a previous degree with exceptional performance records at the time of application.

Language requirements:

Please note that if English is not the primary language, the appropriate English language requirements must be successfully completed:

The admissions office may not approve English proficiency scores dating back more than two years.

Please note that all documents submitted for consideration must be considered original. The University will only consider documents submitted by the institution that awarded the degree. However, the only exception is the TOEFL which can be transferred electronically via the TOEFL (ETS) on the spot. Documents emailed, copied, certified or witnessed will not be considered accepted by Brandon University.

  • English for Academic Purposes Program (EAP)

The English for Academic Purposes program is designed primarily for students preparing to enter post-secondary English language institutions and who need to improve their English language skills in order to pursue a master’s degree at the university; It is also designed for individuals who want to improve their use of English as a second language for professional or personal purposes. Some knowledge of the English language is required before students can be accepted into the English for Academic Purposes programme. In general, English is required in high school.
