The UR Circle of Scholars Entrance Scholarship is available to international students who wish to continue their undergraduate studies in all fields at the University of Regina, Canada.

Scholarship Benefits:

The University of Regina contributes up to $200,000 annually. The $3,000 scholarship is automatically awarded to students applying for admission to university at the undergraduate level.

  • New students who enroll only in the Winter 2021 semester or only in the Spring/Summer 2021 semester will receive a $1,000 CAD education credit toward their admission and registration for the Fall 2021 semester;
  • A $2,000 CAD tuition credit will be given to students who register for the Winter 2021 semester and Spring/Summer 2021 semester upon their arrival and registration for the Fall 2021 semester;
  • It is recommended that applicants registered for both the Winter 2021 and Spring and Summer 2021 semesters or in the Winter 2021 semester will receive only $2,000 CAD for on-campus housing for the Fall 2021 and Winter 2024 semesters: $1,000 CAD per semester.

Eligibility Requirements:

The scholarship will be available to academically cleared undergraduate applicants for direct admission from a high school into the Undergraduate Direct Admission program.

The applicant must have an Early Conditional Acceptance GPA of 85.00% or higher and be registered for at least nine credit hours in the semester in which the award is offered.

To receive this scholarship, applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate course at the University of Regina.

Language requirements:

The official language of instruction at the University of Regina is English. As such, all University of Regina candidates are required to provide an appropriate level of English language proficiency. Proof of the required level of English language proficiency will include the following documents, which will be accepted as satisfactory evidence:

  • For applicants from countries on the University of Regina’s English examination exemption list, at least three years of full-time regular English language training must be achieved at a secondary school that is an accredited school or facility where English is the primary language of study. .
  • A minimum of 24 credit hours equivalent to a University of Regina degree at an accredited post-secondary English language institution, with a minimum of 6 credit hours in the social sciences or humanities and a minimum GPA of 60.00% or equivalent, is acceptable proof of mastering English language. Post-secondary institutions that meet this requirement must be verified by the University of Regina using industry-recognized higher education resources.
